مردی با کشیدن تصویر عروسکی شاد، ناخواسته به آن جان می بخشد. عروسک با شیطنت هایش سعی می کند توجه او را جلب کند، اما سرانجام به دردسر می افتد و مرد برای نجاتش به کمک او می شتابد.
A man is drawing a cheerful doll on a sheet of paper when he begins to hear strange, unpleasant noises. As he approaches the window to find their source, the drawing suddenly comes to life, turning into a real doll. The man spends his time at home smoking, listening to music on his gramophone, reading, and engaging in other activities, while the doll secretly tries to attract his attention. It approaches the gramophone, drinks some of his beverage, and gets up to various antics. Eventually, while the man is reading, the doll picks up his cigarette from the ashtray and takes a puff. It starts coughing, collapses to the floor, and the ashtray breaks. Hearing the noise, the man rushes over and gives the doll artificial respiration. When the doll recovers, it embraces him joyfully.
